Timmy the Kid! Our Giants serially humiliate Oakland.
When he’s not in the ballpark SF Giant’s pitcher Tim Lincecum looks more like a slacky hipster kid than a world class athlete. All that changes on the mound. Timmy the Kid moves like a lanky jungle cat, all energy in reserve until he unleashes his fastball. Poetry in motion and even the floppy hippy hair works. Catalan Nativity Little Shitter ‘El Caganer’ as Mascot for May 21 Rapture Movement?

The squatting man in the May 21st Rapture posters looks suspiciously like el caganer, the little squatting shitting paisano, which is Catalan’s famous nativity figure. Connection? Coincidence? This billboard is in San Francisco, hanging on the side of the building that also houses The Lone Star…

In Bangkok, the gay hangout Q Bar is closed Tuesday for Vesak, a national holiday in Thailand and much of the Eastern world. More than Buddha’s Birthday, as it is sometimes known, Vesak commemorates not only the birth, but also the enlightenment and passing of Gautama Buddha. Other names for the commemorative day include Vesākha, Wesak, Visakah Puja, Vaishaka, Buddha Purnima, Visakha Bucha, Saga Dawa, 佛誕 (fó dàn), Phật Đản วิสาขบูชา and Araw Ni Buddha.
