Perfect pack animals, dogs love hierarchy, D/s, training, and knowing who’s the Alpha. Jam had no idea why he should wear the hat, but he knew We wanted him to, and that is plenty for him. Obedience=bliss, when you’re a good dog!

Phallic Fruit

Ah, the sweet taste of phallic fruit… It’s amazing what 20 cents will buy you these days. I discovered an unusually-shaped persimmon at the farmers’ market in San Francisco, and I thought the readers of the Gay Highwaymen might appreciate this unique fruit. Nutritious and delicious.

RIP Christmas Tree in the Castro

San Francisco’s post-holiday tradition of dumping Christmas trees on the sidewalk continues this year. Fortunately, it seems that the Christmas-tree arsonist hasn’t stuck this year (for a few years, someone was going around lighting these cast-off trees on fire, leaving the streets littered with charred tree corpses). But I liked this tree-tracing I saw on Diamond Street in the Castro, taken on garbage day after the truck had come by.
