Gay Highwaymen correspondent AidanAbroad sends pics from China…

From GH correspondent AidanAbroad. He’s in Shanghai. Because he can’t upload from China, he’s corresponding and we’re posting. There is air there. You can see it. Also, some quite tall buildings. But there are also lots of small streets and alleys. Lots of signage in English. International trade town.   And of course there are men! Also wet floors. So says the signage.   There is a television station devoted to Military Agriculture. Interesting. And because folks do dig food pics…    Chinese banana eel roll!Donkey meat…really!Turtle shell jello…  And Fly Juice.  Let’s fly! This is what I’ve always wanted to talk you. Be civil. Be healthy.

Water bags for water boys?

IMG_3630
How nice of The Ambassador in Waikiki to provide Eco-friendly collapsible water bottles for their guests. Also, it’s a good branding opportunity, with the corporate logo decorating each one. I’ve gotta wonder, though, what the design team was thinking in selecting bright yellow as the base color. I think it’s pretty funny, so I’m kind of glad they did, but I’d have gone with light blue. I do plan to re-use them filled with a different flavor of water at our annual summer party. Select guests will appreciate that. The Ex-Texan, who agrees with me that they look like medical sample collectors, or maybe catheter bags, models them in the hotel elevator. As always, this is our opinion, only. Urine may vary…

Waikiki brunch and a bit of olden daze sex…

IMG_3613
Nice view! Waikiki beach. When the ex-Texan was here many years ago when he was in the Navy, he met a young Hawaiian guy and they had sex. In the surf and again under a banyan tree. Ex-Tex sure couldn’t take his new pal back to the ship and the boy still lived with his parents. So beach and bushes it was! IMG_3616Mymymymymymy Papaya!IMG_3615Fried Rice. Nice!IMG_3618Peace. Love. Barbecue and eggs Benedict. All at the Outrigger overlooking Waikiki beach. Later: pics of sweet-looking beach boys!

Why, yes. Yes, he does. He also goes shopping. Wonder what the Bear bought?

BART Reflections

The third and final image from my BART commute this cold and rainy morning: Reflections in the window of the BART/CalTrain station in Millbrae, CA. Below, the CalTrain tracks and a northbound train; in the reflection, the canopy roof of the train station. The light of the rising sun on the clouds in the reflection adds a bright spot to the gray sky.

Fucking Elephants! Really…

Ah, the thrills and occasional spills of exotica tourism. Animals do what they do, and DNA just wants to make more DNA. When these tourists decided to ride the elephants, they weren’t counting on the bull climbing on board!

Other Blogs: Other Sheep go on a Caribbean Cruise.

Left to right: Jose Ortiz, Jonathan Chavez, and Steve Parelli West coast of St. Lucia, Thursday, April 21, 2011.

Other Sheep is an organizational blog about “faith and LGBT concerns worldwide.” Run by long-time partners Rev. Steven Parelli and Mr. Jose Ortiz, Other Sheep recently returned from a nine-day cruise through the Caribbean. Rev. Parelli reflects on what has changed (and what has not) since he was a closeted Baptist teenager on Martinique in 1970. To read the Other Sheep travelogue, click here. Authentic Caucasian Food

Authentic Caucasian food, served at the Chabad in downtown Moscow by handsome, dark-eyed waiters from the Caucuses.

What do Caucasians eat, exactly? Chopped salads. Spicy chicken. Fresh herbs. Ground lamb. Flaky pastries for dessert.

Tasty.
