EEK! What did you do to his hair? He really prefers to look like a bear, OK? He asked me to tell you, since he is too mortified to talk right now . . .
It’s a continental clip. Dates back to Roman times. It’s how they clipped canis aquaticus, the forerunner of the modern poodle. It makes a lot of sense, really. It is a Lot easier to keep him burr-free without the terrier-style legs of the Dutch cut he was sporting before.
