High upon a hill in San Francisco sits the famous concrete Catholic church Our Lady of Maytag. It is designed in homage to that sacred, time-honored symbol of our faith…the washing machine agitator.

The Gay Highwaymen 
Even while it was still under construction, everyone, including the media, was laughing at the same observation. Once the roofing was completed, it was discovered that at a certain time every afternoon, it casts a shadow upon itself in the shape of a woman’s breast and torso. Technically, it’s not just a church but a cathedral (St Mary’s) and sits upon Cathedral Hill.
How about ‘St Mary Maytag’s’?
